DREAM – Eras Grid

ERAS-GRID is a 9-month project that develops an intelligent energy management tool for self-consumption plants with batteries, using Cosentino as a use case. The solution combines artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mathematical optimization to improve efficiency, dynamically adjust energy distribution, and optimize battery operation, enabling surplus storage and energy arbitrage.

The system will be integrated into the plant’s EMS/BMS, ensuring interoperability, cybersecurity, and data privacy. Validation will be carried out using real data through numerical verification of objectives and KPIs, achieving reduced energy costs, increased resilience, and lower emissions.

The consortium consists of R2M (optimization and management), SENS (photovoltaic integration), and Cosentino (end user and validation). With this development, the project aims to position itself as a benchmark solution for manufacturing industries with self-consumption and storage, delivering efficiency, cost predictability, and sustainability.
